Recipe Corner: Detox Lemonade or Tea

Even though our body already knows how to properly detox and drinking plenty of water as well as a healthy diet is the best way to support your body to do what it already does well. However, sometimes we want something to mark a new beginning. For me, if I eat something I usually don't eat like greasy food or heavy meat dishes, I can get bloated and my stomach feels heavy. It helps me drink something acidic and ginger is known to calm the stomach down. I like this detox tea/lemonade because it supports healthy digestion and gives you the feeling of a reset when you want to get out of a pattern of unhealthy eating. The TRU Detox charcoal pills support the body's natural detoxification but can also reduce bloating. And besides that it is refreshing and tastes great, hot or cold!

Detox Lemonade/Tea

Recipe makes 2 servings

Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

2 cups Water, hot or cold

1/2 cup Lemon Juice

1/4 tsp Ginger Juice

1/8-1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper (your preference of heat)

1 tbsp Honey

1 TRU Detox Pill

1) Add all ingredients into a shaker bottle and shake until well combined. If you are not trying to make this drink hot, use room temperature water first so the honey dissolves better. 

2) Serve hot or over ice.
