Red, White and TRU Smoothie Bowl

Summer is heating up quickly! If you’re taking part in the Summer Shape Up Challenge, congratulations on all of your hard-earned results. We’re here with another summertime recipe to satisfy your sweet tooth without derailing your success from your fitness journey. We recommend this bowl as a post-workout meal or snack because it has natural sugar and protein to keep you satiated.

This thick and creamy smoothie bowl is made from frozen banana, mango, oat milk, TRU Protein and blue spirulina. That’s it!

In the spirit of freedom this 4th of July, we added blue spirulina for patriotic flare. Top this bowl with strawberries, blueberries and coconut flakes and complete the color scheme to surprise your kids or yourself with a festive treat full of protein and natural fruits!

This recipe calls for Coconut Macaron Protein, but Natural Vanilla Cream or whatever protein you have on hand that mixes well with mango would be perfect. You can find blue spirulina at Whole Foods, or you can find a more affordable option on Amazon.
