Recipe Corner: Smokey Sweet BBQ Protein Bites

Who said protein bites always have to be sweet? I leaned a bit out of my comfort zone making this recipe and honestly, I was positively surprised. I don't know about you but I am a sucker for BBQ sauce. It really makes anything taste good. If you enjoy a savory snack with the right amount of smokey and sweet, these will be right up your alley.
Smokey Sweet BBQ Protein Bites
Recipe makes 15 balls
Time: 8 minutes
1 cup Rolled Oats
2 scoops TRU Unflavored Protein
2 tbsp Chia Seeds
2 tbsp Sunflower Seeds
3/4 cup Nut Butter
1/4 cup Maple Syrup
3 tbsp dark BBQ sauce
1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika Powder
1/4 tsp Smoked Chipotle Pepper
1) Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. In a separate bowl mix all wet ingredients.
2) Combine both and stir until dough forms.
3) Use a small cookie scoop (about 1.5 tbsp) and form 15 equal sized balls. Put in the fridge for about an hour to make them less sticky if preferred that way. Store in fridge for up to a week.
