Energy Bites

Recipe by Cornelia Sabrina,  @Cornelia_Sabrina on IG

These energy bites are perfect for a quick boost before a heavy workout or as a mid day snack.
They are well balanced in macros and pack a punch when it comes to essential vitamins. Besides
a variety of nuts and seeds, I have also included Maca powder. Made from a root also known as
"Peruvian Ginseng"  it is known to elevate energy levels and your mood if used consistently.
Maca powder has a nutty and slightly malty flavor, which goes perfect with the TRU Banana
Maple Muffin Protein and the nuts in this recipe. Now the true challenge is to not eat them all at
once, because they sure taste like a dessert!

Energy Bites

Recipe makes 10 servings.
Time: 10 minutes prep

Ingredients:
2 pitted Medjool Dates
2 scoops TRU Banana Maple Muffin Protein*
1/2 cup Pecans
1/2 cup Walnuts
1/2 cups Oats
1 tbsp Hemp Seeds
1 tbsp Chia Seeds
2 tsp Maca Powder
1 tbsp Maple Syrup

----------------------------------------------------------------

1) Soak Dates in hot water for 5 minutes.

2) Add all ingredients into a food processor and pulse a few times. Add 1/2 cup water gradually
and blend until it comes together as a sticky dough. Depending on the ingredients you use, you
might not need the entire 1/2 cup of water or you might need a little more.

3) Use a small cookie scoop to form bite sized pieces. Depending on your cookie scoop you
might get less or more pieces than I did. Adjust your macros accordingly or divide the batter by
scale to have 10 equal pieces and roll balls by hand.

4) Refrigerate and enjoy!

Notes:
* You can use any TRU flavor, but Maple works best with these flavors.
