Massy's Virgin Guava BCAA Cocktail

Recipe by Cornelia Sabrina,  @Cornelia_Sabrina on IG

I am not sure how it is for you guys, but sometimes I just like to sit down with a fancy drink and relax. Personally I do not drink alcohol so all my cocktails are virgin and to stay on track with your fitness goals, I decided to give you a virgin cocktail to beat the heat. What's even better it is a BCAA cocktail that will also help your body recover and rebuild.

When the TRU Guava BCAA first was released, Massy was so excited about it. Now every time I see Guava anywhere, it makes me think of her. So this recipe is in honor of her. This drink is the perfect balance between sweet and sour with a spicy kick, just like Massy sort of, hehe.

Guavas are full of seeds, that's why you do not want to use a juicer unless you are ready to ruin it or it is specifically made to handle seeds like that. Mine is an Omega juicer and believe me, I tried. I ended up using my Vitamix blender and strain the liquid twice to remove all the seeds. This is a really important step and makes the end result so much more enjoyable.

I added some water to mine to fill the Mason jar I used but feel free to use sparkling water. This is a perfect refresher for hot days or after a you crushed Monday ;)

Massy's Virgin Guava BCAA Cocktail

Recipe makes 1 servings.

Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

3 fresh Guavas

1/2 inch piece of ginger root

Juice of 1/4 lemon

1 scoop of TRU BCAA Guava Flavor

--------------------------------------------------

1) Peel the guavas and blend in a blender with lemon juice and ginger root for 1-2 minutes. Just enough to get rid of junks.

2) Double layer a cheese cloth or use a sifter to strain the seeds out of the liquid. Strain twice to make sure no seeds are left behind.

3) Pour into shaker with ice cubes and BCAA's and shake well. Serve over ice. Feel free to add a little cold water or sparkling water.
